Reinventing Tara

I've decided that 2011 is time to reinvent myself. I'm not really changing myself too much, just tweaking the way I approach life a wee bit. I've always been an optimist. I'm the one who with the ability to laugh, even when she's crying.  I can find the upside in any situation. It's rather obnoxious, really.

The trouble is, I've noticed in the last little while that my optimism is slipping a little bit. Maybe that's because I've been unemployed for over a year, or the fact that I've had a number of health challenges, which I'm sure at some point I'll write about. Or just maybe, optimism is like a plant, and you have to grow it, and cultivate it so that it blooms.

In any event, I've decided that 2011 is all about positivity. I'm making an attempt to live a positive life, and spread the positivity around. Life is too short to be negative. Sure, there will be times that I am down, but I don't want to dwell on them.  I want to be happy. So I'm going to make it happen. I am going to enjoy life. I'm going to get myself out there. I'm going to get outside of my comfort zone. To that end, I've entered the Girl Geek blogging challenge. I'm really hoping it'll motivate me to blog more, and put my thoughts down where they can be seen. I've also started making little videos to show my silly side. I have a silly side, and I'm not afraid to show it. SO THERE!

I hope that you can come along with me on my journey. It's going to be great! Bye for now.

Introducing Tara

Hi there!

Welcome to my little corner of the web! I'll be your Tararist this evening.  Since this is my first post, I'll give you a little introduction. I am Tara. I'm mother to an awesome eight year old boy, a social media addict, and a woman with a lot of opinions.  Hopefully, this blog will give me a chance to share them.

One thing you'll soon learn about me is that I'm a very silly person. I'm fairly certain that I do have serious thoughts, but I can honestly tell you that they do not come out very often.  I believe everything in life is grist for the humour mill, and I live life every day with this in mind.

That said, this blog will likely be a little bit of everything, some happy, some sad, some silly, and some serious. I hope you will join me on my journey. I promise it will be an adventure.
